Mirelle Thibault holds a Master’s degree in Ethnology, as well as Certificates in Criminology, Law, and Gerontology, all from Laval University in Quebec. She is a prolific author who, from 2007 to 2024, has published 15 books in French with Éditions Québec-Livres, Presses de l'Université Laval, Les Éditions Québec Amérique, and Éditions Québécor. Her articles have also appeared inacademic journals such as Mythologie(s), National Geographic (French edition), Nexus, and Sciences et Inexpliqué. She lives in Quebec, and A Compendium of Toxic Tales is her first publication in English.
